The Elephant Cave in Bedulu
The Elephant Cave or Goa Gajah is located in Bedulu village, Gianyar. It was built in around the eleventh century and served as a monastery for the Hindu and Buddhist monks to study about their religion.
In the cave, you can see that there are statue of Ganesh God, shrines for worshiping the the main manifestation of Gods (Brahma, Wisnu, Siwa). Some huge holes on the cave walls can be seen as well, these were the places where the monks meditated.
The photo is taken from inside the cave to give you an idea of how it feels like going into the cave and the size of the tunnel in comparison with size of a person.
